We weren't sure who would get snow first, Amarillo or Afghanistan, but Amarillo won!
Growing up in Michigan, I have many fond memories of the snow. It was so quiet and peaceful as the snowflakes floated gently down. This is not the case in Amarillo. Here snow comes with lots of wind which makes the snow come down sideways. In my opinion, it is really not fun. But apparently 6 and 3 year olds aren't bothered by freezing cold wind!

I don't know what it is about snow, but it always makes our dog so excited. Our 9 year old, gray faced Stanley was running and jumping in the snow like a puppy!
In other news, Luke has a trip planned to Kabul next week. The military will only escort them to the outskirts of town. Kabul has had a lot of terrorist activity lately. Please pray now for his safety, and keep praying!
