Amarillo Update

This is our soon-to-be new house! We are so excited about it. It has everything we need, as well as practically everything we ever even dreamed of! It has four bedrooms, which was important to me because I like my family to have a nice room to stay in when they come. In addition, it also has an office. We figured we would have to have an office/guest bedroom, but this house has both! Luke will hopefully be working from home several days a week. It comes with the empty lot next door, which gives us plenty of room to play! It means Luke's dream of having a nice big shop has a good chance of coming true. I always dreamed of a 3rd bathroom so guests won't have to use the boys' bathroom, and this house has it! And it has a 3rd living area in the basement which is going to be a perfect place to put the Wii so we can jam on Guitar Hero without waking the kids. The best thing is that we are putting 20% down for the first time ever.

Luke took a job with a local engineer. Currently the company does mostly agricultural engineering and environmental compliance. But in their free time, they will be expanding their civil business and doing more of the types of projects that Luke is familiar with. In the mean time, he is learning lots about agriculture!

The time that we spend apart was very difficult on all of us. However, we are already seeing how God is blessing us. Luke has a good job, we are getting the house of our dreams, and we are finally on secure financial footing. Praise the Lord!
