Well, Luke had some good news to share today. There is someone in Kabul with high enough security clearance to be able to bring his passport to him. So he will not have to travel to Kabul again to get his passport! Yay! That also means we don't have to worry about Luke missing his flight out of Bagram. Only 8 more days until he will be home!
On a scarier note, there was a suicide bomber at the gate closest to Luke's office today. First the guy detonated his car. Then, when the guards started to chase him, he detonated himself. The blast was strong enough to break some of the windows at Luke's office. Yikes! Thankfully, no one in his building was hurt. Can't say the same for the bomber.
